Why Raw & Unfiltered Honey is the Best Honey You Must Have in Your Kitchen

Honey is the oldest known sweetener and contains the most healing properties. Chemically, it’s a mixture of glucose, fructose, and a small amount of saccharose. And it has many other active ingredients.

It’s formed of more than 70 active substances.

It has minerals, Vitamins, Organic acids, Enzymes, Inhibins.

Inhibins are thermolabile and photolabile (destroyed by heat and light) substances that give honey its bactericidal properties.

Other components. It has aromatic substances, various proteins, and amino acids, pollen grains, and many other components that are not well understood.

Healing Properties of Raw and Unfiltered Honey.

Taking into consideration the composition of honey into account, it can be concluded that Raw Unfiltered Honey has the following health benefits:

1. A good source of antioxidants

Some types of Honey contain the same amount of antioxidants as fruits and vegetables. Antioxidants aid in the prevention of cell damage caused by free radicals.

2. Antibacterial and antifungal properties

Raw honey has been shown in studies to destroy bacteria and fungus. It contains hydrogen peroxide, which is an antiseptic. Depending on the type of honey, the antibacterial or antifungal properties vary.

3. Heal wounds

Manuka honey is used to treat wounds in medical settings because it is an efficient germ killer and helps in tissue regeneration. 

Manuka honey has been shown in studies to speed up healing and prevent infection.

4. Rich in Phytonutrients 

Honey’s antioxidant properties, as well as its antibacterial and antifungal properties, are due to phytonutrients. They’re also believed to be the source of raw honey’s immune-boosting and cancer-fighting properties. These valuable nutrients are destroyed by heavy processing.

5. Helps digestive issues

 It has been shown to be efficient in treating Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori), a common cause of stomach ulcers. 

It’s also prebiotic, which means it feeds the good bacteria in the intestines, which are essential not just for digestion but also for overall health.

6. Soothe a sore throat

When I was little, I remember when I had a sore throat, my grandmother would give me to drink hot milk with a teaspoon of raw and unfiltered honey in it. It always worked for me.

Honey has been shown to be as effective as dextromethorphan,  according to research. Take one or two teaspoonfuls at one time with a cup of hot milk or a hot tea to see the full effect.

Raw honey should never be given to an infant less than a year old.
